Blues skies and temperatures in the low 70s provided a backdrop for over 16,000 people who attended the 4th Annual Lake Havasu Rockabilly Reunion Festival 2012 over the weekend.
Attendees were treated to a spectacular carnival midway, hundreds of hot rod cars on display, 70 gorgeous ladies competing for the title of “Miss Lake Havasu Rockabilly” and “Psychobilly,” and an onslaught of twanging Gretsch guitars that dominated the main performance stage. Once again, Gretsch was one of the main sponsors at this family friendly event located near the shore in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Featured bands rocking their Gretsch guitars were The Chop Tops, Moonlight Howlers, Cash’d Out, Danny Dean, The Deadbeat Daddies, The Octanes, and The Rhythm Dragons. Included in the vendor village was Gretsch with a fabulous display of guitars and Gretsch Girl Kim Falcon signing her new poster for attendees free of charge.
One of the grand prizes for the weekend drawing was a Gretsch Guitar pin-striped by hot rod graphic artist (and guitarist/frontman for The Psycho Devilles band) “Hot Rod Walt” Richards from Atlanta, Ga.
