Fall Out Boy superfan Cordia Jester, who founded the music blog Hit It Off Media, has a special tattoo in the works.
Posting the photo above on Instagram, Jester is close to finishing a tribute to Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump and his signature Gretsch Stump-O-Matic Electromatic CVT.
When contacted about the custom ink, Jester explained her devotion to the band and to Stump.
“My tattoo was actually initially thought of during ‘Save Rock and Roll’ on their most recent tour,” she wrote. “I broke into tears during their set, and afterwards while waiting for Patrick to come sign, I just kept thinking of the one line, and it sounded like the perfect tattoo.
“The words mean so much to me. I’ve been immersed in music and the music business my entire life, and it is my dream to do something great within the music industry. Saving rock and roll to me is very real. I chose the Stump-O-Matic because it’s such a simple, and sleek guitar, and it’s recognized as Patrick’s guitar. Fall Out Boy was the first large concert I ever went to, and when I was 11 I had this crazy obsession with Patrick. I stuck with him through the whole hiatus.
“He inspires me. He has an amazing way with words. He’s truly a person to look up to and aspire to be like; not to mention his voice is like butter. I knew I wanted a guitar behind the lyrics, and it had to be his. It wouldn’t be right if it wasn’t.”
