British rock duo Royal Blood got reduced to a one-man show during a recent appearance on Australia’s Triple J radio, as singer Mike Kerr performed an acoustic session for the first time.
Wielding a Gretsch G5031FT Rancher Dreadnought, Kerr offered stripped-down renditions of “Better Strangers” and a cover of Cold War Kids hit “Hang Me Out to Dry.”
And for those wondering where drummer Ben Thatcher was hiding out, he was in the studio, as well.
“There are other things going on in the Royal Blood camp,” Thatcher joked. “I’ve got to do all the admin while all this is going on. I’m just emailing Mike the lyrics to the songs.”
