Street Sounds in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, N.Y. was the premier destination for Gretsch aficionados on Saturday, June 18.
The largest authorized Gretsch dealer in the U.S. hosted its third Gretsch Day, where guests participated in guitar giveaways, raffles and presentations given by Fred Gretsch, the great-grandson of the company’s founder, and Gretsch product specialist Joe Carducci.
The music shop turned into a festive, Gretsch fanatic haven with the presence of Gretsch artist Paul Pigat, who gave an electrifying performance with his rockabilly sounds, and Gretsch poster girl Kim Falcon, who dazzled guests by taking photographs and signing posters.
One of the main highlights of the event was the Gretsch tribute to George Harrison exhibit, which featured a G6128T-GH George Harrison Custom Shop Tribute Duo Jet™ Guitar and exclusive memorabilia.
After the event, Fred Gretsch gave a walking tour of the original Gretsch factories in Williamsburg, located only 4 miles away from Street Sounds.
