Singer/songwriter Israel Nash and his amazing band recently recorded a few tracks inside the Seattle studios of KEXP, bringing an Americana vibe to the station. Nash performed songs from 2014's Israel Nash's Rain Plains, a selection that included "Woman At The Well," "Mansions," "Rain Plans" and "Rexanimarium." Watch the brief but moving set below.

Watch Rokia Traoré Perform Three Songs on KEXP

Malian musician Rokia Traoré has gained international acclaim with her latest album Beautiful Africa, a collection of rock-infused tracks that recall the type of music that first inspired her. And during a trip through North America, Traoré stopped into Seattle’s KEXP studios to play a few new songs, including “Sarama,” which is a praise song to Malian women partly sung in English, and “Kèlè Mandi.” Watch the entire performance after the jump and visit her official website for more information.

Daughter Brings Dreamy Pop to KEXP

When U.K. indie folk-rock band Daughter was promoting their debut full-length album If You Leave in the States earlier this year, they stopped by Seattle’s KEXP studios to play a few new tracks. Two of those were the dreamily haunting “Smother” and “Human,” both of which feature frontwoman Elena Tonra’s ethereal vocal talents. Watch the Walkmen Perform Live in Seattle

The Walkmen were recently featured on the fifth Little Big Show, an event sponsored by KEXP, Starbucks and STG to benefit Seattle’s arts organizations. The band shared the bill with Father John Misty, and all of the proceeds from ticket sales were donated to a local non-profit. Watch The Young Evils’ KEXP Performance During Bumbershoot

During Seattle's Bumbershoot festival this summer, local upstarts the Young Evils were featured in KEXP's music lounge. The band's Foreign Spells EP was released this past June as a follow-up to 2010's Enchanted Chapel, and the Young Evils performed tracks off both efforts in addition to a new track titled "Crime Scene A-Go Go."
