Gretsch fans will note that longtime signature artist Stephen Stills is as busy as ever lately with solo concert dates, a slew of new releases and summer 2010 plans for a Crosby, Stills & Nash tour.

Recent releases from Stills include the 14-song Live at Shepherd’s Bush, which captures a career-spanning fall 2008 performance of solo and full-band sets in England, and Pieces, a collection of 15 unreleased recordings from the sessions for both early-’70s albums (Manassas and Down the Road) by Manassas, the group Stills formed with ex-Byrd Chris Hillman.

One of the rock, pop and folk world’s more astute Gretsch-slingers, Stills was honored with a Gretsch signature White Falcon™ model in 2000, meticulously modeled after his original White Falcon. Stills continues to rely on Gretsch both on the road and in the studio; in a recent review of a March 6 concert in Michigan, website Ann Arbor.com noted that Stills was in fine and fiery musical form on, among other instruments, “a gorgeous Gretsch hollow body.”
