Take a look at Neil Young’s new video for Le Noise track “Angry World,” shot by Adam CK Vollick. The shaky black and white footage features close-ups of Young (and his Gretsch White Falcon), as well as shots of trees, the sun rising and setting and a half-clad female dancing in an empty room.
Daniel Lanois, tagged by Young to produce and help film the recordings for the forthcoming Le Noise album, found a Los Angeles home for the recording sessions that he described to Rolling Stone as a “beautiful Mediterranean villa.”
“We picked it largely because of the cinematic opportunities,” Lanois told RS. “I have transportable recording equipment and we put something together just for Neil. I put out my best amps, my best pianos and best guitars. He was very impressed by all of it. We cut the whole thing over just nine days during three separate full-moon cycles earlier this year.”
