U2 Rocks Fallon’s Tonight Show Debut

Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon debuted his new Tonight Show on Monday night in New York, and it was a star-studded affair with high-profile guests like Will Smith, celebrity cameos from the likes of Tina Fey, Lady Gaga, Stephen Colbert, Robert De Niro and an epic Rockefeller Center rooftop performance by U2.

Earlier in the show, Fallon interviewed U2 about their Oscar-nominated song “Ordinary Love,” and encouraged the band to perform the song acoustically. Bono and team complied, with the singer also presenting Fallon with a new red Gretsch guitar in honor of the band’s charity efforts with the (RED) campaign.

The legendary rock band later closed out the episode from 70 stories above NYC with a performance of new single “Invisible.”
