The Shelters Share New Video for ‘Gold’

Up and coming Los Angeles quartet the Shelters have debuted the new official music video for their song “Gold.”

Guided by legendary music video director Mark Pellington (Bruce Springsteen, U2, Bon Jovi, and Leonard Cohen), the clip is a cinematic affair inspired by California— heavy on Hollywood glamour and glitz in some scenes and desolate and barren in others. Actress Juno Temple plays a mysterious woman who starts off roaming the desert and then finds her way to a pool party.

“We wanted to create something out of this world,” explained singer Chase Simpson. “The song really lends itself to that idea of someone feeling so good they begin to experience the world around them in a new way.”

This idea is highlighted by the song’s lyrics, which refer to that Midas touch.

“It’s all what you make it, everything I touch turns gold.”
